The development team has just complete its first phase assessment for the next version and the new features list is amazing. I anticipate being able to parse this and get a list available for everyone to review very soon. In the mean time, we have set a release date for February 2nd, 2009. Check back in a few days to see what made the list - maybe even one of your suggestions!

Just a quick update. We are all back from the Fall Win/Dev Connections 2008 in Las Vegas. The show went great and it was amazing to meet with our existing customers as well as meet so many new people. We are excited that the interest was so strong at the show and are looking forward to working with our new contacts to show them how SysCompare Pro can meet their needs.
We also just heard that Jeff James (Executive Editor) at Windows IT Pro magazine has posted a brief blurb on our product on his blog. He indicates that they plan to do a full review online and in a future magazine edition as well. The timing is great as our current version under development has some great new features that we will be ready to announce soon!

Okay, so this blog was suppose to focus just on our efforts with MTM Software and our products (SysCompare) and it will. But I figure why not make the scope larger, so it will.
First off, we are moving forward with our next version of SysCompare which I think will offer some truly amazing features. We hope to have more information to share at our booth at the Fall Win Connections conference this November in Las Vegas. You’re going right? I thought so - so why not stop by and see us in booth #529? See, that didnt hurt did it?
In preparation for the show, we’ve been working with our booth design vendor (Skyline of Oregon). It’s been a long process, but they come highly recommended and we hope they will deliver to their reputation. They don’t move as fast I would like, but perhaps I have unrealistic expectations? There are several items waiting for final design approval from me, but alas, I’m not ready to lock us into anything until our booth is done. I’m sure it will all work out.
For those of you in the industry, if you don’t already know, the Intel Software Partner program is a great program to belong to. There are some great benefits available - ranging from insider technology sessions to event support and marketing support. We are an Intel Associate Software Partner and are EXTREMELY happy with our membership.
Lastly, since I’ve been traveling a ton for work and pleasure, I decided it was time to start getting serious about my fitness program again. As I’ve never been a big runner, I was lothe to do so. But a recent colleague told me about the new Nike+ Sportsband and it has been a huge motivator to get out and run. I did my first run along Waikiki beach 2 days ago, and a second yesterday. I have to say, it was a great goal setter - but dang, I can hardly walk straight now. My muscles have never been so sore. Fortunately today is my day off, and tomorrow I’m back for another 2 miles. You can check out my progress towards my goal of running 32 miles over the next 4 weeks here. I’m sure I’ll beat it - care to challenge me?

After meeting with several recent customers and with friends and family, I realized it would be beneficial to start a blog on what is happening at MTM Software. I hope to cover not only what is happening with our products, but also with our upcoming marketing and tradeshow activities.
For starters, we are now signed up to exhibit at the Fall WinConnections conference at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas from November 10-13. This will be our first tradeshow and we are hoping to meet many of our existing customers and meet new ones. We are also looking forward to helping spread the word about what SysCompare can do.
Starting this week we have been dedicating some of our time to marketing and tradeshow preparation efforts between our current releases. As you may notice, we now have a new logo and are working to update all of our materials with the new logo.

Check back next week for information about our new features we are working on as well as our on going challenges.
